Winter Plants go to Market
If you want your food garden to stay green over the cold winter months, come along to the Hornbeam or Leytonstone market stalls on the next couple of Saturdays to pick up some bargain winter plants.
The selection will include mustards, rockets, mizuna, chicory, chards, spinach, endive, kales, coriander, French sorrel, watercress, corn salad, broad beans, early peas and green manures! All the plants have been potted on and are growing with vigour to get an Autumn head-start for the winter months. Saturday 10-3 at the Hornbeam (458 Hoe St) or 10.30-3 in Leytonstone (outside Matalan).
