The Hornbeam Centre and OrganicLea are looking for someone to coordinate the development of a Food Partnership for Waltham Forest. ThisOrganicLea – A workers’ cooperative… is a short-term 6-month role to deliver this partnership as part of the Roots Incubator Programme funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA).
The potential for a strong and innovative Food Partnership in Waltham Forest has existed for a number of years. This funding will be a catalyst, bringing existing work on the ground and council strategies within a more strategic, joined-up approach, enabling statutory and Voluntary & Community Sector, along with residents and local businesses, to address local food policy issues holistically and innovatively.
The coordinator will be responsible for bringing key stakeholders together into a formal partnership, to establish priorities and set an action plan. They will also lead on fundraising for resources to sustain the partnership.
