A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

Job opportunity: Community Growing Projects Worker

Maternity Cover – Community Growing Projects Worker (3 days/week)

We are looking for someone to cover maternity leave for one of OrganicLea’s two Community Growing Project workers.
This work takes food growing and learning into community spaces where people live, work, and play. We are looking for a range of skills in project coordination, community partnership work and a strong track record of spotting opportunities and making things happen.
We are particularly looking for someone committed to food growing as a way to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

This is a varied role working as part of the Community Growing and Young People’s team within OrganicLea, where project strands include food growing and gardening for health and wellbeing, building resilient communities, improving biodiversity and environmental projects working with young people.

The focus of this role is supporting individual wellbeing and building resilient communities through food growing and wildlife gardening, working with residents across Waltham Forest and other local boroughs.

More detailed tasks and responsibilities, and the skills and qualities we are seeking, are set out in the Job Description and Role Specification. A separate document sets out How to Apply.

Please send completed applications to clairet@organiclea.org.uk.

Deadline for applying is 5pm Thursday 8th April.
