What’s in the bags this week – 13 March

Standard vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes (Essex), pak choi (Essex or Cambs), onion, carrots (Norfolk), salad (Norfolk or Chingford), Crown Prince squash (Kent), swede (Essex or Lanc) and Chioggia beetroot (Lanc). No potato bags have Jerusalem artichokes (Suffolk).

Large vegetable bags have onion, carrots, salad onions (Norfolk), rocket (Cambs or Norfolk), Carolus potatoes, parsnips (Devon), Crown Prince squash (Kent), stir fry greens (Chingford) and mushrooms (Suffolk). No potato bags have Chioggia beetroot (Lanc).

Medium vegetable bags have Carolus potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli (Devon), salad onions, carrots (Norfolk), stir fry greens (Kent) and swede (Lanc). No potato bags have Savoy cabbage (Essex).

Small vegetable bags have onions (Norfolk), rocket (Cambs or Norfolk), kalettes (Essex), swede (Essex or Lanc) and Carolus potatoes (Devon). No potato bags have beetroot (Norfolk) and cavolo nero (Cambs) instead of rocket.

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Kent), apples (Sussex), lemons (Italy) and clementines (Spain).

Medium fruit bags have apples (Sussex), pears (Kent), kiwis (Italy) and clementines (Spain).

Small fruit bags have apples (Sussex), pears (Kent) and clementines (Spain).

We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Ripple Organics (Kent), Sarah Green Organics (Essex), Wild Country Organics (Cambridgeshire), Capel Mushrooms, Oakwood Farm (Suffolk) and organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 15% of produce from Hawkwood Nursery (Chingford) or our farmstarters London Grown (Enfield), Daniel (Chingford) or Stort Valley (Hertfordshire). Contents may vary due to availability.
