What’s in the bags this week – 10 October

Standard vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes (Essex), broccoli (Essex or Norfolk), carrots, French beans, mushrooms, onions (Norfolk), beetroot and stir-fry greens (Herts). No potato bags have cucumber (Chingford).

Large vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes (Essex), onions, carrots, squash (Norfolk), sweetcorn (Kent), kale (Herts), salad, chillies (Chingford) and French beans (Chingford or Norfolk). No potato bags have mushrooms (Norfolk).

Medium vegetable bags have onions (Norfolk), Ambo potatoes, Cavolo Nero, fennel (Essex), cherry tomatoes (Essex or Norfolk) and sweetcorn (Kent). No potato bags have cucumber (Chingford).

Small vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, Cavolo Nero (Essex), carrots, mushrooms (Norfolk) and radishes (Essex or Herts). No potato bags have squash (Norfolk).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), apples, pears (Norfolk), plums (Hereford) and grapes (Spain).

Medium fruit bags have plums (Hereford), pears, apples (Norfolk) and bananas (Dominican Republic).

Small fruit bags have plums (Hereford), grapes (Spain) and pears (Norfolk).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 15% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringey), Daniel (Chingford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
