What’s in the bags this week – 12 September

Standard vegetable bags have New Charlotte potatoes, cavolo nero (Essex), carrots, tomatoes, French beans, cucumbers and onions (Norfolk) and salad (Chingford). No potato bags have red cabbage (Essex).

Large vegetable bags have New Charlotte potatoes, cavolo nero, red cabbage, fennel, (Essex), carrots, tomatoes, onions (Norfolk) and beetroot (Chingford). No potato bags have radishes (Essex).

Medium vegetable bags have New Charlotte potatoes, spring onions (Essex), celery, courgettes (Linc), chard and beetroot (Chingford). No potato bags have tomatoes (Chingford).

Small vegetable bags have New Charlotte potatoes, kohl rabi (Essex), carrots (Norfolk), chard (Chingford) and courgettes (Linc). No potato bags have aubergine  (Norfolk).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Gloucester), plums (Hereford), grapes (Redbridge) and apples (Norfolk).

Medium fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), plums (Hereford), pears (Gloucester), apples (Norfolk).

Small fruit bags have plums (Hereford), pears (Gloucester), apples (Norfolk).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 15% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringey), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
