What’s in the bags this week – 20 June

Standard vegetable bags have New Colleen potatoes, radish bunch, Batavia lettuce (Essex), chard, wet garlic, broadbeans (Chingford), onions (Cambs), courgettes (Norfolk). No potato bags have kale (Enfield).

Large vegetable bags have New Colleen potatoes, Red Oakleaf lettuce, radish bunch (Essex), onions, savoy cabbage (Cambs), wet garlic,  broadbeans (Chingford), Kohl Rabi, kale (Enfield). No potato bags have mushrooms (Suffolk).

Medium vegetable bags have New Colleen potatoes (Essex), spring onions, courgettes (Norfolk), white mushrooms (Suffolk), Rainbow chard (Chingford), Kohl Rabi (Enfield). No potato bags have broadbeans (Chingford).

Small vegetable bags have New Colleen potatoes (Essex), onions, celery (Cambs), broadbeans (Enfield), mixed salad leaves (Chingford). No potato bags have little gem lettuce instead of salad and Savoy cabbage (Cambs).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), oranges, plums, peaches (Spain), cherries (Chingford).

Medium fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), peaches, oranges (Spain), strawberries (Enfield).

Small fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), oranges (Spain), rhubarb (Cambs).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringey), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
