What’s in the bags this week – 6 December

Standard vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, swede, leeks (Essex), carrots, onions, broccoli (Norfolk), spinach or chard (Kent), parsnips. No potato bags have white mushrooms (Suffolk).

Large vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, beetroot (Essex), carrots, onions, broccoli, brown mushrooms (Norfolk), romanesco (Suffolk), chard or spinach (Kent), squash (Wanstead). No potato bags have leeks (Essex).

Medium vegetable have Ambo potatoes, turnip bunch, beetroot (Essex), carrots, pointed cabbage (Norfolk), Purple Sprouting Broccoli (Devon). No potato bags have pak choi (Kent).

Small vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, Cavolo Nero kale, brussel sprouts (Essex), onion, Delicata squash (Norfolk). No potato bags have Purple Sprouting Broccoli (Devon).

Standard fruit bags have Bananas (Dominican Republic), mixed apples (Norfolk), Williams pears (Norfolk), clementines, oranges (Spain).

Medium fruit bags have Bananas (Dominican Republic), mixed apples (Norfolk), oranges and clementines (Spain).

Small fruit bags have have Bananas (Dominican Republic), mixed apples (Norfolk), oranges (Spain).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
