What’s in the bags this week – 29 November

Standard vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, cauliflower, turnip bunch (Essex), carrots, onions, pointed cabbage, Harlequin squash (Norfolk), rocket (Kent). No potato bags have white mushrooms (Suffolk).

Large vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, leeks, Cavolo Nero kale, brussel sprouts, swede (Essex), carrots, onions, brown mushrooms (Norfolk), cauliflower (Suffolk). No potato bags have broccoli (Norfolk).

Medium vegetable have Charlotte potatoes, leeks (Essex), onions, broccoli, white mushrooms (Norfolk) chard or spinach (Kent). No potato bags have swede (Essex).

Small vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes (Essex), carrots, broccoli, pointed cabbage (Norfolk), parsnips (Chingford). No potato bags have chard (Kent).

Standard fruit bags have Bananas (Dominican Republic), mixed apples (Norfolk), Williams pears (Norfolk), clementines (Spain), kiwi fruit (Italy).

Medium fruit bags have Bananas (Dominican Republic), mixed apples (Norfolk), oranges and clementines (Spain).

Small fruit bags have mixed apples (Norfolk), kiwi fruit (Italy), clementines (Spain).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
