What’s in the bags this week – 4 October

Standard vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, beetroot, cauliflower (Essex) carrots, onions, landcress, aubergine (Norfolk), red or white cabbage (Devon). No potato bags have a salad bag instead of landcress and green peppers (Norfolk).

Large vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, beetroot, collard greens (Essex) carrots, onions, broccoli, green peppers (Norfolk),bulb fennel, mixed salad leaves (Chingford), tomatoes (Wanstead). No potato bags have french beans (Norfolk).

Medium vegetable have Ambo potatoes, chard, broccoli (Essex), onions, green peppers (Norfolk), bulb fennel, Jack Be Little squash (Chingford). No potato bags have French beans (Norfolk).

Small vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, rainbow chard (Essex), carrots (Norfolk), fennel, Jack Be Little squash (Chingford). No potato bags have broccoli (Essex).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Chingford), Mandarin, black grapes (Spain), Red Falstaff apples (Essex).

Medium fruit bags have pears (Norfolk), Red Falstaff apples (Essex), mandarin and black grapes (Spain).

Small fruit bags have mandarin (Spain),Saturn apples (Essex) and bananas (Dominican Republic).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
