What’s in the bags this week – 11 October

Standard vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, broccoli, Cavolo Nero (Essex), carrots, onions (Norfolk), bulb fennel, squash and garlic (Chingford). No potato bags have celery (Chingford).

Large vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli, cauliflower (Essex) carrots, onions, (Norfolk), celery, garlic, mixed salad leaves (Chingford), red or white cabbage (Devon). No potato bags have green peppers (Norfolk).

Medium vegetable have Charlotte potatoes, Savoy cabbage (Essex), carrots, landcress, cherry tomatoes (Norfolk), garlic (Chingford). No potato bags have French beans (Norfolk).

Small vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, Cavolo Nero, beetroot (Essex), onions, pointed cabbage (Norfolk). No potato bags have red cabbage instead of pointed cabbage and green peppers (Norfolk).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Cambs), clementines, black grapes (Spain), Saturn apples (Essex).

Medium fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Cambs), clementines (Spain), Saturn apples (Essex).

Small fruit bags have pears (Cambs), clementines (Spain), Saturn apples (Essex).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
