What’s in the bags this week – 27 September

Standard vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes (Essex), carrots, onions, broccoli, green peppers (Norfolk), chard, Uchiki Kuri squash (Devon), Red Russian kale (Chingford). No potato bags have French beans (Norfolk).

Large vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, red cabbage, cauliflower (Essex), carrots, onions, French beans (Norfolk), Cavolo Nero kale, chard, Uchiki Kuri squash (Devon). No potato bags have Oyster Mushrooms (Chingford).

Medium vegetable have Ambo potatoes, beetroot, collard greens (Essex), carrots, cherry tomatoes (Norfolk), celery (Devon). No potato bags have cauliflower (Devon).

Small vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes (Essex), onions, broccoli (Norfolk), mixed salad leaves, sweetcorn (Chingford). No potato bags have runner beans instead of broccoli and Kohl Rabi (Essex).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Chingford), Galia melon (Spain), Red Falstaff apples (Essex) and red grapes (Redbridge).

Medium fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), pears (Norfolk), Red Falstaff apples (Essex) and red grapes (Redbridge).

Small fruit bags have pears (Norfolk),Saturn apples (Essex) and red grapes (Redbridge).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
