What’s in the bags this week – 20 September

Standard vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, collard greens, bulb fennel (Essex), carrots, onions, tomatoes (Norfolk), celery, cucumbers, chillies (Chingford). No potato bags have kohl rabi (Essex).

Large vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, tomatoes, bulb fennel (Essex), carrots, onions, broccoli (Norfolk), Red Russian kale, mixed salad leaves, celery (Chingford). No potato bags turnips (Chingford).

Medium vegetable have Ambo potatoes, kohl rabi (Essex), onions, French beans, broccoli (Norfolk), mixed salad leaves (Chingford). No potato bags have a beetroot bunch (Chingford).

Small vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, beetroot bunch (Essex), carrots, green peppers (Norfolk), Red Russian kale (Chingford). No potato bags have broccoli (Norfolk).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), apples, pears (Chingford), lemons (Spain), plums (Essex).

Medium fruit bags have lemons (Spain), pears (Chingford), Worcester apples, plums (Essex).

Small fruit bags have pears (Chingford), Worcester apples, plums (Essex).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
