What’s in the bags this week – 30 August

Standard vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, red cabbage, collard greens (Essex), carrots, onions, sweetcorn (Norfolk), cucumbers, mixed salad (Chingford)

No potato bags have fennel (Essex).

Large vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, red cabbage,  spinach (Essex), carrots, onions, courgettes, sweetcorn (Norfolk), cucumbers, mixed salad (Chingford). No potato bags have tomatoes (Wanstead).

Medium vegetable have Maris Peer potatoes, fennel, rainbow chard (Essex), carrots, french beans (Norfolk), beetroot (Chingford).

No potato bags have aubergine (Norfolk).

Small vegetable bags have Maris Peer New potatoes, Cavelo Nero kale (Essex), cherry tomatoes, onions, sweetcorn (Chingford or Norfolk). No potato bags have aubergine (Norfolk).

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic),Discovery apples, pears (Cambs), muskmelon (Wanstead), plums (Essex).

Medium fruit bags have Discovery apples, pears (Cambs), bananas (Dominican Republic), plums (Essex).

Small fruit bags have Discovery apples, pears (Cambs), plums (Essex).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
