“Passila” means “little raisin”, an allusion to the colour and aroma of the pod: these are 15-30 cm, dark green to black. Donated by Adam, a fellow member of the Heritage Seed Library, these are, classically “excellent dried and ground for use in moles [Mexican-style sauces]”.
