A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

Christmas Bell/ Rose Chilli

Origin: Portugal via Brazil

OrganicLea Heat Rating: 4

Brought back by Mary Garvie, an OrganincLea grower, who found them grown and sold extensively in the part of Portugal she was visiting. There they are used to decorate Christmas trees, hence the “Christmas Bell” name, though some people think they look more like flying saucers! 3 cm long and 3-4 cm wide.
