April Open Day

Sunday 27th April, 12-4pm at Hawkwood Community Plant Nursery

ALL DAY- Plant stall and free Dr Bike workshop

  • 12-1.30 seasonal gardening task, weeding: the way of the hoe and the trowel
  • 1.30-2 lunch, soup available for a donation or bring a picnic
  • 2-3.30 Agro-ecology skill share, this will take the format of a site tour and discussion with Janet Maro from Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (www/kilimo.org/WordPress/)
  • 2-4 seasonal gardening task continues
  • And 12-3pm (with a break for lunch) Forest School activities and free play for children of all ages. Children under 6 must be accompanied. Spaces are limited so, if you are interested to come with your child(ren), please contact liz@organiclea.org.uk

After the Open Day from 3.30-5pm, Organiclea and the World Development Movement are hosting a food sovereignty meeting ‘Sharing Struggles’. Janet Maro will share stories and struggles from the food sovereignty movement in Tanzania, and we will share stories from London. Local activists, food growers, and those interested in learning more about food sovereignty are invited to join.
