Mustard greens come to us in spring and summer from local allotment sites and are availible all year round in Hawkwood’s salad bags.
Mustard greens are commonly used as the base for dishes such as sag aloo in India. Use instead of spinach to give a little spice.
Or try a traditional recipe from the southern US: Mustard greens and black eyed beans soup! There are plenty of recipes available online but for a quick and easy one, make up a soup base flavoured with paprika, cumin and black eyed beans. Throw in plenty of mustard greens a few minutes before its ready. Yum!
