A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

Open Day Plant Sale

Open Day, Sunday 24 April, 12-4pm, Hawkwood Nursery

This month’s Open Day sees our first plant sale of the season. We have popular favourites such as tomatoes, squash, courgettes – plants that are hard to get started without a greenhouse, and our growers can offer advice and aftercare tips. We have a whole range of chillis and over 20 different salad leaves – grow your own mixed salad! Plus fruit bushes, edible flowers, kudu, aubergine and more. We also supply sacks of top-quality seed sowing, potting and container compost (made to our special recipe). And we have a compost giveaway – bring your own sacks to take away free greenwaste compost for your household (amount per household generous but not unlimited!).

The plants are strong and healthy -ready to compete with weed seedlings and garden pests! More plant sale dates and list of plants available here.

As usual there’s also forest school, amazing cakes and coffee, freshly prepared lunch, and an opportunity to enjoy this beautiful site in its spring budding.

Timetable for the day:
