On April 26th 2025, we are taking part in Food In Our Hands – a march organised by our trade union the Landworkers’ Alliance, bringing together farmers, growers, food system workers, activists and everyone who has a stake in the UK’s food system (yes – that includes you!). Now is the time for us to come together and build a broad and progressive coalition across the UK’s food, farming and land working sectors, and present our vision for a more just and equitable future. There’s a lot to fight about right now, from Defra’s abrupt closure of the Sustainable Farming Incentive scheme and the ongoing struggle of food producers to make a decent living, to rising inequality and continued attempts by the far-right to hijack UK farming.
We’ll be taking action with allies from across the movement, come and be a part of it!
Why are we marching?
To build a unified antifascist, antiracist progressive front within the farming sector, focussed on dignified lives and livelihoods for all
To demand the systemic change of our food system and a legally enshrined Right to Food
To demand a bigger budget for nature-friendly farming which can support a transition to agroecology in all four UK nations
To strengthen connections with other grassroots resistance movements and build consensus for food sovereignty in the UK
When?
Saturday April 26th

1pm Gathering to march
Where?
