A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

December Winter Fayre

Sunday 10 December 12 – 3 pm.

We’re holding a Winter Fayre at Hawkwood plant nursery.  Please join us to stock up on locally grown and preserved goods that make lovely sustainable gifts.  We will also be selling our own merchandise with the OrganicLea logos as well as knitted goods from our local branch of Age Concern.  Community Apothecary will also be on site to sell their teas and tinctures. There will be a range of solidarity products from other selected growers and a fire to keep you warm along with hot drinks and festive snacks.

Food: Freshly prepared falafel wraps will be available to purchase between 12-1.30pm (cash preferred) from a local Palestinian enterprise called Shawki Falafel who you can regularly find at the St. James Street end of Walthamstow Market.

Tap Room: Beer and cider brewed on site will be available on tap or bottled to take away.

Timetable:

12 – 2 pm: Wreath making workshop.  There will be limited numbers so you will need to book below in advance to pay for your place.  We have set three different rates so please pay what you can.

12 – 2 pm: Card printing in the Woodland Classroom. (Children must be accompanied)

2.15 – 2.45 pm: Round up of 2023 at OrganicLea.

Directions to our Hawkwood site including bus, rail and river-cycle routes are here. Parking available at the site.
