What’s in the bags this week – 31 January

Standard vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, January King cabbage (Essex), onions, beetroot (Norfolk), spinach (Kent), squash (Enfield), parsnips (Chingford). No potato bags have celeriac (Norfolk).

Large vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, Red Russian kale (Essex), onions, brown mushrooms, celeriac (Norfolk), parsnips (Chingford), flower sprout tops (Kent), red cabbage, carrots (Norfolk). No potato bags have spinach (Kent).

Medium vegetable have Ambo potatoes, spring greens (Essex), leeks, carrots (Norfolk), Jerusalem artichokes  (Chingford), squash (Enfield). No potato bags have white mushrooms (Norfolk).

Small vegetable bags have Ambo potatoes, spring greens (Essex), beetroot, leeks, onions (Norfolk). No potato bags have white mushrooms (Suffolk)

Standard fruit bags have bananas (Dominican Republic), Red pippin apples (Kent), kiwi (Italy), blood oranges, Nadorcott clementines (Spain).

Medium fruit bags have Red pippin apples (Kent), Nadorcott clementines, blood oranges (Spain), kiwi (Italy).

Small fruit bags have Red Pippin apples (Kent), blood oranges, grapefruit (Spain).

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
