What’s in the bags this week – 15 November

Standard vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, January King cabbage (Essex), carrots, onions, BonBon squash (Norfolk), parsnips, Red Russian kale (Chingford), Brussel sprouts (Devon). No potato bags have a Romanescu cauliflower (Suffolk).

Large vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, leeks, Brussel sprouts, radicchio (Essex), carrots, onions, harlequin squash, broccoli (Norfolk), spinach (Kent), Romanescu cauliflower (Suffolk). No potato bags have flat mushrooms (Suffolk).

Medium vegetable have Charlotte potatoes, beetroot, radish (Essex), onion, pointed cabbage (Norfolk), spinach (Kent). No potato bags have a Romanescu cauliflower (Suffolk).

Small vegetable bags have Charlotte potatoes, radicchio, beetroot (Essex), carrots, broccoli (Norfolk). No potato bags have mushrooms (Suffolk).

Standard fruit bags have Bananas (Dominican Republic), apples (Chingford), Williams pears (Norfolk), Clementines (Spain), pomegranates (Spain).

Medium fruit bags have apples (Chingford), Clementines (Spain), kiwi (Italy), pomegranates (Spain).

Small fruit bags Apples (Cambs), bananas (Dominican Republic), Williams pears (Norfolk).

 

 

Where does our produce come from? We get our produce from Hughes Organics (Norfolk), Sarah Green (Essex), Brockmans Farm (Kent) and from organic wholesaler Langridge (especially non-UK fruit). We aim to contribute 20% of the produce in our bags from either Hawkwood Plant Nursery (Chingford), or our farm starters; London Grown (Haringay), Shannon (Ilford), Primrose Organic farm (Herts). Contents may vary due to availability.
