Summer Activities for Children and Families with Organiclea
Some extra opportunities to enjoy Hawkwood and do something a little different this summer!
Monday 21st August 10am – 1pm – Mushroom Monday (Booking essential)
Come and learn fun ways to grow edible mushrooms at home. Participants will make a mushroom kit to take home to grow. This will be a family session for children 8+ . Please email darren[at]organiclea.org.uk to book. Session £15
Thursday 24th August 10am – 1pm – Apple Thursday (Booking essential)
Come and learn all about apples, how they grow and all the benefits apples have to offer. We will be making fresh apple juice using our apple press. This will be a family session for children 8+. Please email darren[at]organiclea.org.uk to book. Session £15
Friday 25th August 10am – 1pm – Forest Friday (Booking essential)
This will be a child-led play based learning adventure through nature, allowing children to deepen their understanding and love of the natural world. This play-based approach helps children to get to know themselves and the world around them, becoming more confident, creative and self-aware. Please email darren[at]organiclea.org.uk to book. A FREE drop-in family learning session offering outdoor play and holistic learning for children and families. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please email hello@playfullea.org.uk with the name and age of your children if you plan to attend.
