Level 3 Certificate in Forest Schools Practitioner
WHEN: 6-10 February 2017, 9.30-5.30 each day: core training week (to be followed by self-study and practice to achieve qualification)
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to set up and run a Forest School programme. As the Level 3 qualification, it prepares learners for employment as a Forest School leader. It is a nationally recognised qualification.
The course is being delivered by Forest School Education (FSE). The tutor is Steve Greaves who has 14 years experience of forest school leadership and tutorage. It is taking place at OrganicLea’s market garden and woodland site in Northeast London.
This venue is used by a locally-inspired Forest School initiative ‘PlayfulLea’ that has been running weekly since May 2015. This is supported by OrganicLea who also organise Forest School taster sessions for families at our monthly Open Days, and is developing opportunities that utilise the Forest School learning approach for adult participant groups using our Hawkwood site.
Cost: To achieve this Level 3 qualification the cost is £699, plus a requirement to have a first aid certificate (usual cost approx £100).
