A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

September Open Day

Open Day and Plant Sale

Sunday 25 September, Hawkwood Nursery

As the seasons roll around it’s another Hawkwood open day. We have salad plants for sale for growing over winter, and our apple press is available for anyone to bring their apples and make juice. And grape growers are invited to join the community wine scheme (see details here to register in advance). Join in our seasonal blitz volunteer morning to plant out chard, take part in the forest school for children of all ages, or just enjoy good coffee and cake and a tour of this beautiful 12 acre site.

Seasonal Blitz morning: our weeekend volunteering opportunity, join us at 9.45 for a 10am-1pm session. We advise sturdy shoes and you are welcome to stay for the Hawkwood monthly Open Day afterwards. Please do let us know in advance if you’d like to join us for the Seasonal Blitz session, by emailing plants[at]organiclea.org.uk or call us on 020 8524 4994.
