New traineeship

Organiclea are recruiting for a new Assisting Learning traineeship for someone wanting to gain experience in supporting horticultural training. The post will support Organiclea tutors delivering our City & Guilds, Level 2 Horticulture course for adults in partnership with Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service. The placements will deliver weekly practical gardening sessions, assessments and support for classroom time. The trainee will work with support towards delivering 1-2 classroom sessions (depending on length of traineeships). The trainee will be supported with regular mentor and support sessions and feedback.

As part of this placement, Organiclea will cover half the costs for the trainee to complete their Award in Education and Training (formerly PTTLS); an introduction course to teaching adults (this will be £175 of the £350 cost of a 4-day intensive course at East London College). The traineeship will be based at Organiclea’s Hawkwood Plant Nursery on Tuesdays during the duration of the Level 2 course.

We are looking to recruit for one role to cover the duration of the course from 29th September 2015 – 24th May 216, or for two trainees to cover half the course each (for Sept-Jan & Feb-May).
