A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

Get sowing!

We’re gearing up for the seed sowing season – and if you’re doing the same you might be interested in ordering some growing essentials! If you’re local to Hawkwood Nursery or the Hornbeam cafe you can come and join our bulk order for a range of vegetable and herb seeds, seed potatoes, compost for sowing seeds and a green manure to help improve your soil and attract bees. Every order supports community enterprise, organic producers and growing within your community.

You can place your order between 29th January and 5th February with payment in cash or cheque at the Hornbeam stall or cafe, or at Hawkwood Nursery’s farm stall. Your order will be available to collect from Hornbeam from 12th February, and from Hawkwood from 16th February. Thank you and enjoy this growing season!

We regret that we can’t deal with postal or email orders or deliveries on this occasion. Don’t forget we will again be producing seedlings at Hawkwood nursery for sale to community growing groups, allotment holders and individual growers in May and June – check back here for details nearer the time.
