A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

Forest Garden open day

Organiclea’s forest garden is open to all from 2-5pm on Sunday 16 May. Come and learn about this low-maintenance approach to food growing, which uses the natural patterns found in a forest to create an edible foraging space. Help with practical tasks including weeding and mulching. The forest garden is accessible from Drysdale Avenue between houses 121 and 123.

Also earlier on the same day,  a free guided forest walk is starting from Hawkwood Nursery: come and enjoy the abundant signs of spring in the forest on our doorstep. Just turn up at the Nursery at 11am.
Getting there: 25 minute bus ride on route 215 (Walthamstow Central, 9.55 or 10.24 a.m, to Yardley Lane stop) or train to Chingford and 15 minute walk.
Up to two children per accompanying adult are welcome. Bring suitable
footwear and rain gear. Walk finishes by 1pm.
The walk is organised by the Hornbeam Centre with by funding from London Borough of Waltham Forest.
