Forest School

The Hawkwood Forest School has provided an amazing opportunity over the last year or two for early-years learning and play, and the chance to try out den building, fire lighting and using tools.

From January as well as the Hawkwood Thursday sessions there will also be sessions at Pimp Hall Nature Reserve on Fridays. Another opportunity for early-years outdoor learning and play at a community woodland site.

On offer is a 9 week forest school course for 3-6 year olds. You can choose from:

Thursdays

Hawkwood Plant Nursery, 115 Hawkwood Crescent, Chingford E4 7UH

Fridays

Hornbeam Learning Lodge (Pimp Hall Nature Reserve), Nr Kings Road Recycling Centre, off Kings Road, E4 7HR

Running every Friday from 22 January 2016 (22 Jan, 29 Jan, 5 Feb, 12 Feb, 26 Feb, 4 Mar, 11 Mar, 18 Mar, 25 Mar) Please note there will be no session on 19 February

Friday Morning 10.30am to 12.30pm OR Friday Afternoon 1.30pm to 3.30pm

 

Course Fees £108 for 9 week block (morning or afternoon session) payable in advance. Limited low-income spaces and sibling/multiple course booking discounts available, please request details.

Children need to bring a packed snack and appropriate clothing, footwear and waterproofs. Parents/carers are requested to remain on the site for the duration of the session, but not necessarily with their children.
