Growing and looking after grape vines
Saturday 28 February, 9.30am – 4pm

This one day course is for people who would like to grow grapes or who already grow them on a small scale. There will be practical work and demonstrations in the Hawkwood vineyard as well as classroom-based sessions on the following topics:

  • the annual growth cycle of the grape vine,
  • working with the grape vine from infancy to maturity,
  • propagating and planting vines,
  • pruning and growth training,
  • tool use.

The course is led by Marko Bojcun who has been growing vines and making wine in London for over 20 years. He is an experienced tutor and a member of Organiclea.

Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable outdoor footwear and clothing.
