Getting Involved: Find us on the site working on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, 12-5pm. It's best to let us know you are planning to come. There is an introduction for newcomers at midday on the 4th Sunday, so that's a good time to start. At the end of the day, harvested produce is shared amongst volunteers. If you live locally, we can take your kitchen compost - contact us about drop off arrangements. Organiclea is part of the national Organic Food for All mentoring scheme, so get in touch with us if you would like to learn more about growing your own organic food. Scrumping: We run a local fruit picking project to harvest unwanted apples and pears and distribute them locally. If you have more apples and pears than you can pick, please let us know. We are interested in building a network of organic allotment-holders who can share ways of distributing produce in Walthamstow and surrounding neighbourhoods. Contact us for more information. |
