11-12: Selling allotment produce: is it legal?
There is increasing interest in locally and naturally grown food, yet on urban allotments gluts, surpluses and good land sometimes go to waste. There are certain legal restrictions on selling allotment produce, but what exactly are they and why?

Ru Litherland from Organiclea has been researching this question and will be unveiling a no-nonsense fact sheet on the issue today. Participate in the discussion and share in the findings.

11-1: Getting practical: Learn more about composting
Drop-in stall about the compost heap. Creating quality soil in your own back yard from your waste.

12.30-1.30: Know more about your organic market stall
Since Sept 2006, Eostre Organics, a farmer's coop from East Anglia, has been working with Organiclea to supply organic food in Walthamstow.

Josiah Meldrum, from Eostre, will talk about the food they supply and the farmers they work with - answering questions about quality and fair shares. Just returned from Italy, with first hand reports, he'll share some issues facing small producers everywhere.

2.30-3.30: Getting involved at the Hornbeam Centre?
Have you wondered what happens at the Hornbeam? Do you have an idea that you'd like to be involved in? Are you an existing user who would like to be better informed about what makes the centre tick? This session will be open and participatory. All welcome!!
